how i can fix my kenmore carpet cleaner, model 175.7817780?

the carpet cleaner will not pump up the cleaning solution. i have checked out the pump motor and it seems to be working well, it has two speeds and it turns well when it is powered on.
i took the pump apart and all it is is a stationary magnet in a plastic housing with holes around it, whith a magnet connected to the motor, this one rotates around the stationary magnet.the inlet hole and the outlet hole of the pump are clean and open. when i put water in the solution tank, and turn the power to the pump on, no water is pumped out of the outlet hole. the motor is in excellent condition, and i haven't been able to figure out why it won't pump.it is a strange pump, it seems to work with magnetic pulses or vibrations.
your help would be appreciated. thank you.

have you tried blowing air pressure thru the inlet and outlet ports with the pump off? I believe there is a filter in the tank and it may have become clogged.
