proactive auto gearbox renault megane 2001?

the warning light for proactive automatic gearbox illuminates while driving. but not all the time. is there any fault with the gearbox?

Does the box change as it should?
If it does,there's not much wrong with it.
I assume the car has had regular servicing
The gearbox oil may need checking though,as the type of oil,and the level is fairly critical.
As most auto boxes are fairly complex and electronically controlled,I would recommend that your local Renault dealer checks it out on their computer,to be on the safe side.
I have found with my 2005 box,it needs the oil "warming up" a bit first,so after the first mile or two it's fine,(perhaps a bit longer in winter)
