I bought a vauxhall corsa over a yr ago and it has always used lots of oil it seems to have a leak but is burning it rather than leaking i have took it to the dealer who wanted 800 to strip it down , someone suggested it could be the pistin ring seals? are the expensive tio replace????? help as i havent got a clue and noone seems to know exactly whats wrong

this is not from overfilling, i top it up one day the next its empty again if i have used the car . only trouble is cos its burning it the egr valve is getting clogged with carbon ect and keeps havin to be replaced

mate, Im having the same problem on mine. It has come from too much oil being put in, so it is burning the excess. There is apparently a valve around the oil tank which simply drains the oil, im struggling to find where mine is as they are different on different cars. It is dead simple to do,..if you can find the valve!..I wouldnt go to a dealer if i was you, bit of a scam chargin that much money!
