Stihl P 50 !! chainsaw will not start?

It stopped during use from what appeared to be lack of fuel (tank appeared empty ). Added fuel (same as was using) and it failed to start or fire. Checked the plug after many attempts to start, it was sparking ok but the cylinder chamber was dry. Fuel appears to be getting to the carb. but not passing through to the cyl. I tried spraying fuel into the carb with the air filter removed but it did not attempt to fire. Can you suggest what I might try now ??

try spraying a SMALL amount of easystart into intake,if as i suspect it coughs or runs, the chances are u have a blocked fuel metering needle.strip and clean carb.
