Bosch WFK 2401 Washer won't drain... #3 alarm!?

Hi,  I have WFK 2401 that stops during the wash cycle and gives the #3 alarm. Water stays inside.   I took the machine apart, checked EVERY hose and all are clear.  The pump also is clear and seems to function.  During the alarm, if I turn the machine off, dial to drain, nothing happens.  If I turn the machine off, wait an hour or more, I can dial to spin-and-rinse and the machine finishes the cycle!  Sometimes, the pump will stop during the high-spin at 8 minutes left and leave water ( and wet clothes) in the machine,  but this morning ( after waiting the night) the pump ran during the whole spin cycle.  It sounds electronic, but I'm not sure what device to clean or replace first.  Any thoughts?    Mark - bugzar@aol.com

I am having a similar problem with the machine dropping out of cycle during the spin portion. The manual suggests to turn the cycle selector switch to X and depress START. Then select new cycle and press START again. This I am told resets the electronic programme. I have tried it and it seems to work. The problem is my wife does the wash and it always seems to happen to her? But the problem in general seems like it might be electronic. Maybe the mother board? Good luck.

I DON'T actually have an answer, but I do have the same problem! The appliance tech who came to check it out said that maybe the pump overheats and shuts itself off. This would make sense with what you're saying about waiting an hour or overnight and then getting it to drain fine. Unfortunately, with my washer it doesn't seem to make a difference whether I wait a long time or a little; sometimes a spin cycle will work and other times it won't, seemingly randomly.

If you figure it out, please let me know! Good luck.
