Hi - I have a similar problem - I stupidly took the instrument cluster apart and the mileage counter glass fell out... now it says nothing. Does anyone know how I can fix it?

I have a similar problem with my 1998 206. I have changed the dash (twice) and the gearbox sender unit once. Power is getting to the sender but still nothing!! any ideas?? cheers, Andy

I've only done these on the 406 and 307 diesel Kat, but they are simply screwed into the gearbox at the back from underneath. Why not give a Peugeot garage a ring, speak to the service manager, ask if they have the transmitter in stock and finally get him to explain exactly where it is? I've always found them helpful enough.

thank you John - I don't suppose you would know how to fix this electronic transmitter??!!
thanks

The speedometer and mileage recorder are worked by an electronic transmitter fixed to the gearbox. If everything else is ok, then this will be your likely problem.
