hyndai atoz coolant towards hot?

i have a t reg hyundai atoz. i notice today that as soon as i started the journey, the coolant indicator moved towards hot and stayed there. i have checked the coolant level and there is no problem with the coolant level. can you please advise me what must have gone wrong with the coolant or the indicator.
