sears craftsman garden tractor?

I took the cover and retaining clip off the rear tire and I can't get the tire off. It has a square key in the axel and I put a jack between the rim and frame and tightened it and hit the axel and it still won't come off. I sprtayed WD 40 on the axel also. Any suggestions. thanks, robert

Be patient and keep applying the WD40! I reckon the wheel hub has just rusted onto the axle - normally a few blows with a rubber hammer on the back of the tyre will eventually free it. You could apply some heat to the wheel centre but do be careful not to contact the tyre with any flame.
