it sounds like you have a faulty earth. its a simple job.. look under your bonnet with a spanner, a wire brush and some WD40 and look for brown wires that connect only, to the car body. take off the wires, get a wire brush, brush down the car body and the wire connector. there are loads but just keep at it and find them all. then when you reconnect it, spray the temanal with WD40 and reconnect it :-)
and it wont hurt to change your air filter...
