My computer is a disaster. I must have a virus along with spyware making it impossible for me to download any program to clean it up.

I had to re install Windows XP and bedore I downloaded a virus protection and spyware tools I was attacked. I am so heavily infected that I can't Down load a virus removal tool. I don't know what to do. Is the computer ruined for good?

you could get a friend to download avg free form grisoft.com and spybot search and destroy onto a disc or flash stick and run these,or if you have already backed up your data and can do without windows why not install linux ubuntu its free it will read all your existing files,has more software with it than you will need,will run great on a dell and you will only need minimal virus protection,(it uses a unix platform)and it runs at the speed of light and no more crashing !or blue screen of death !!!
