How can I fix the coverage problem on Nokia 5300?

I have inadvertantly put my 10 year old daughter's Nokia 5300 in the washing machine (was in her jean pocket). The phone itself seems to work fine but there is now no network coverage. I have another Nokia 5300 where coverage is fine. Is the phone repairable.

Many Thanks

it sound like the power amp chip in your phone has gone. it could be repaired but the operation would not be cost effective.
we talking about repairs on the phone motherboard.
I would disagree with sean, a liquid damage phone can be repaired if you know what to do, or if you take it to your local mobile repair shop.

hello, im amazed it is working at all. a phone can die from being charged too close to a kettle with the steam, otherwise what i would try is clean around where the sim card goes in, clean the card that was in the phone, or try a new card. or go the phone settings on your phone and select network to let it browse for a network. but to be honest i dont hold out too much hope im afraid. non of my phones ever worked again when my 2 year old went through a period of washing them for me in the sink. hope iv been some help...sean
