how does the piston go back in on the caliper of back disc pads?

i am trying to replace the back disc pads on a renault scenic 2003 1.6. how does the caliper piston go back in, so i can fit the new pads

piston has to rotate clockwise as its pushed back in .requires brake piston wind back tool.£20 or so halfords/motorfactors
