Hi the problem is the car over revs while driving.Its like driving a manual with the clutch slipping however when car is stationary with handbrake on and throttle is pressed it moves of as normal.Any help greatly appreciated.
It won't go into park and and and got to go into 4 instead drive for it to pull away any suggestions thanks

My ford galaxy 05 model 1.9tdi starts moving in 1st gear and never changes to bigger gears unless the engine is properly warm, then it drives properly, don't understand what is the problem

I have problem with the forward gears, last year it STOPPED going forward and i got secondhand gearbox fitted and this year same problem, no forward gear only goes reverse, any help why it getting done with the forward gear. I paid £750 both times.

Found a garage in forest gate east london can get recon done on 1.9 tdi auto box for £750 also they can deliver box anywhere in country, if you cant get to them, for £750 exchange unit. resonable price considering what main dealer want. reverse band they do for £599 all in 02082211633 hope that helps

i have just brought a 2.3 ford galaxy 2000 plate when in drive and we stop it sruggles to pull of kind of judders then is ok its just had a new gearbox fitted in 2010 ive also looked under the bonet and the n/s top engine mount gearbox side was losse and had a bolt missing could thisd be the reasson .....

I have the same problem and it feels like the car is stuck in 3rd gear, but only occasionly. I have taken it to a garage and they have run diagnostics, test driven it and can't find the problem. I thought it might be something to do with sensors.

my galaxy had the same problem i later found out that the gear box was in emergency mode and it was only using first and thired gears. you will need to gat a diagnostic test done to find out what the problem is.

these gearbox,s are always going wrong i rebuild them all the time.
It sounds like the k3 clutch is slipping causing the car to over rev,so it does actually feel like a manual clutch slipping.
