My TCO activated on my Creda 850 shower after a blockage caused it to overheat and I too thought that it would have to be replaced. However, after unsuccessfully trying to replace the TCO locally and so heading to the internet to order one, I was turning it over in my hands and the bimetal disk just easily audibly clicked back into place when I lightly pressed it. I've now refitted the TCO and my shower is working perfectly again!

TCO's operate by a bimetal disc that flips inwards when it overheats and triggers an internal switch. The disc can be reset in 2 ways: Spraying it with a freeze spray available from Maplins, or pushing a walnut size blob of Blu-tak onto the disc and rapidly pulling it straight off.

the toc(thermal overload cutout)is normally not a resettable device.i'm inclined to suspect the prob is your pressure switch which puts the elements on or the actual heating elements themselves, more likely the prssure switch, suspect not worth repairing most showers are easily and cheaply replaced.
