Squecky Motor Replace It?

My dryer squeeks like a witch being boiled in oil. It's absolutely unbearable. Should I replace to motor, the repairman said that's what he thought it was after greasing the thing up to no avail. The motor cost about 100.00 is it worth it? The guy said it may not be? Any suggestions MAYTAG MDE9206AYW is the model.
