model no 1570c. dryer wasnt working so i changed the fuse turned it on and it went bang with a blue flash.

Mine has just done the same thing - yesterday - I changed 3 fuses. Engineer came today - motor packed up. Got to get a new dryer very soon. Mine was about 15 years old so it has served me well.
It was unfortunate for you that no-one answered your question until now.
