My old Lawnflite 548 misfires badly when leaning to the right (I have a sloping garden).When level or leaning left it is fine. I have to cut in reverse so as not to upset it! Someone said there is a switch on the cutting deck which may be malfunctioning-can anyone suggest possible causes?

There is a cut-out under the seat, on the right as you stand behind the machine. It may be that this makes erratic contact as you lean. pull the wire off and wrap it in insulating tape.
