car pulls to the right on acceleration?

Can anyone tell me why my car, '97 Ford mondeo mk2 pulls to the right when I accelerate and back to normal when I take my foot off the pedal?

Assuming the tyre pressures are all correct! this is quite normal for front wheel drive cars, as one drive shaft is longer than the other, the shorter one (in your case the left) is more resistant to the torque of the engine(stiffer) and the right being longer will tend to twist more, so the left wheel will accelerate before the right so causing the car to pull to the right, this is known as "torque steer"
