my phone will not work,BASE 1 keeps appearing in the window and there is no dialling tone.can you tell me why? THANK YOU.

When mine does that I just take the batteries out and then put them back in again, and that seems to reset it. Unfortunately it doesn't permanently fix the problem, you will find that it still does it again from time to time and is annoying, but it works for me. Good luck!
