dyson dc07 faulty vortex chamber?

My dyson Dc07 has lost its suction power . My sons similar machine aslo sufferred from the same problem whilst just in guarantee, The fault was established due to the seals in the vortex chamber leaking;, by borrowing his Vortex chamber I have established that mine is also suffering fromthe same fault. is this a Common fault and is it due to faulty manufacture? have we any redress out of guarantee period?

hi,
we have the same problem! from what i've found on the web DYSON do not offer much in the way of customer service and also try and charge during the warrenty period. best bet is to do what i'm about to and get a good old hoover!!!

For information, phoned Dyson helpline today and explained fault, straight away they said they will replace the vortex chamber with a new modified one free of charge, seems they have had problems with the type of materials used for the seals.
