hey,
take it off, they could be only 2 things wrong with it,
1. the teeth have been worn down and are not grabbing.
2. or it isnt tight enough so the teeth arent fully attatching. [if so , just ut it back on , but extra tight this time.]
BUT.
if you take it off and the teeth are worn down, buy a metal one of ebay for around 15 dollars or 7 quid. good luck.
if none of these work, chech all the fuel leads.
