how do you change the dc jack in an advent 6072 laptop

Well this is SOOOOO common a prob. No option here - take it to bits ( i recommend if u can access a digi camera & another pc,take pics as u go to remember where things went).Get a soldering iron & heat up the solder connections to the jack socket an get it off.Now the hard bit...go to maplin or another electronics shop & get the same socket (easier said than done sometimes). solder back in place & good as new!Oh & do remember to take battery out first! Or u can give it to a local theiving daylight robbery repair shop who will fleece u for lots of cash.
