lights flashing on hotpoint fridge ff200e?

Why are the lights at the top of my hotpoint fridge ff200e flashing? they say "super cool" and "super freeze"

It wasn't switched on properly, try turning both knobs to OFF, and then back ON again and they should stop flashing.
