MIELE G646 SC PLUS - INLET/DRAIN FLASHING?

The machine fills, completes the pre-wash cycle then the light comes on; it will not proceed any further.
The machine fills okay, drains okay and the impellor spins freely. The tubes in the front of the door are clean as is the fan. Any one got any ideas ....... please ??

If the dishwasher is pushed too far under the table, the drain hose may be squeezed or bent, and thus draining is hindered.
Make shure excess hose is pulled to a neighbouring cupboard, where you can see if it bends, such that there is no excess hose to be bent/squeeze, but it is still available when you need to pull the washer out for cleaning or service.

Started as a sporadic fault. Checked the drain pump impellor as the manual suggests, cleaned the filters, and pressed a combination of start/stop and on/off buttons but the machine stopped altogether and the inlet/drain warning light wouldn't go out. After leaving the dishwasher for 5 days as a last resort I proceeded to pull the dishwasher a couple of cm's out from its position. On starting the machine it began its wash cycle with no inlet/drain light on. My Miele is now working and I'm about to cancel the repair man. Can anyone tell me what got my dishwasher working again???

I had the same problem on a 5 year old machine. Traced to a perished seal on the main pump allowing water to leak into the drip tray. This trips the water leak protection microswitch and turns the light on. New seal from Miele cost around £60, but now works fine.

Should take approx 22 seconds to drain.Anything more than a minute will cause a problem.
Should fill in approx 1 minute.Much more than this will cause problems.
Can you hear water whooshing around during the pre-wash....ie going through the spray arms ? If yes, then the circulation pump is working. If no, then u have a problem with the circulation pump....jammed.
Do u have a leak......water in base tray? This would operate the leak protection system, & bring the light on.
Are the spray arm jets blocked ? This would suggest the filter has not been secured fully, & possibly the circ pump has rubbish in it, causing lack of pressure to the pressure switch....making the machine think not enough water is present.
