my vtr has a loud rattling noise when its in neutral with the clutch off, once you press the clutch in it go's. its been like this for a number off months and i thought it was my release bearing witch was the course so i sent it in for a new clutch kit and it was still as bad, i took it back thinking it was a faulty clutch, got it replaced but it still wasnt right so i took it back again, checked all the gear box clutch and release bearing but all seems fine apparantly. im now stuck with a noisey car because the garage just didnt have a clue what it is!! please help as im out of ideas

3 possibles.excess crankshaft thrust clearance(test by seeing how much the crank pully can be pushed intowards and pulled out of engine.loose or missaligned flywheel/or clutch ,or gearbox input shaft bearing(box out and strip)
