white knight wk767 sounds like a cement mixer!?

I have had this machine for about 3 years. It has started making a grinding noise as the machine runs. When stopped it then makes a heavy 'clunk' noise as though something has fallen. What is it? Is it fixable, or should i get a new machine?
Mrs F, July 2008
mine was making the noise you describe, it turned out to be the bearing mount which caused the drum to drop, which in turn caused the drum screws to grind against the bottom of the machine, which put pressure on the belt which caused the belt to snap. if i had checked it sooner i could have saved the belt cost £32 so now i just ordered a new drum and belt £128.

mine did that, it was the fan at the bottom that pumps the air into the heater, it had broken off the spindle

No, do't think so. It looks normal. The drum turns ok too.

Mrs F, July 2008
has the bearing in the back of the drum broken off?.look inside where you put the clothes in at the backin the centre.
