How can i fix my HOTPOINT FDW70 Dishwasher?

My dishwasher tablet in the door compartment no longer dissolves and is as fresh as it was when i put it in there after an intense wash. Any ideas?

Either the water isnt getting hot to dissolve the tablet or the solineod in the dispenser housing is knackered. Sometimes there can be a large item pushed up against the tablet dispenser preventing it from opening...
