the clutch bite point on my renault senic ?

the bite point on the clutch is at the bottom ot he travel of the pedal i've been told the the only way to fix is with new clutch (£360) any ideas

clutch bite us usualy in the middle to upper range.when worn its right at the TOP!on a badly worn one minimal pedal depresion will cause slip.u have a fault in cble/hydralics.but from ur description id say cble or clutch fork.cble 1st its cheapest.maybe time for a garage change?
