My son has a yamaha dt125r, we have to keep filling with coolant/water as it shoots out the expansion tank when riding. Changed engine & radiator to no avail please help

Hi
My son had the same problem.
We fitted a new radiator cap and a new cap for the expansion tank, which was a much tighter fit than the old one and also removed the thermostat from the top of the cylinder head. It seems to have stopped the coolant problem but the bike still overheats on long journeys.
I hope this helps
