clocks resetting when ignition started?

the clock and all the milage and fuel counters reset every time you start ignition on my renault scenic 1.9dci 53 plate!any ideas?

hey i had a similar problem with my citroen, checked the fuse box and several fuses were gone and needed replacement, so might be similar problem
