how do I replace the final drive on a Murray Ultra?

I have an older Murray lawn Tractor/Mower and I will like to know the easiest method to change the final drive belt?

I have the exact same mower that I use in a lawn mowing business. The only way I know of to replace the final drive belt (which has to be done often) is to remove the cutting deck and then the transaxel. Try not to mess with the adjustments on the metal rod that connects the brake to the brake pedel when you remove the transaxel. The easiest way to perform this procedure is to put the mower in reverse and then pick the whole mower up from the front end, the mower will rest on its rear cowling and trailer hitch (the mower will face stright up). The mower should not fall when you remove the rear transaxel but you may want to have an assistant hold the mower steady for safety. It takes a while to do it the first time but you get where you can do it faster after a few times. You shouldn't have much problem with it, just use some common sense. I hope this helps and if you need any more help contact me at nirvanaman462@hotmail.com. This is an very simple and reliable mower and is very cost efficient to perform repairs on so don't ever trash it.
