Stoves 720G Oven & Grill want ignite?

The oven & grill will not come on on turning the knob, there is no electric ignition heard. The light in oven comes on. The gas does not seem to flow through even when knob turned. Can any one advise what may be wrong.

the ignition is activated by a rotary switch behind the glass panel.
the glass panel is held on by three screws[philips head].You need to pull the control knobs off and the clock buttons just pull out.The metal plate behind this has 4 screws 2 at each end when removed you can see the switch it has the rod passing through it.The brass rod with the flat edge goes back to the mechanical gas valve near the rear of the cooker. there is a coupling from the rod to the gas valve that has two small screws in it.If the screws come loose the rod and coupling can slip. also there are two screws of different sizes on the gas valve if either of these come out the rod turns the housing but not the valve.the cooker is held in by a couple of screws located in the area where the top grill opens.when removed the oven can slide out.the top cover has about 8 screws on the edges and back of it. it also has a wiring diagram on a sticker.WITH THE POWER OFF you can safely remove the cover.if you remove the wires from the ignition switch you can check the switch with a meter turning the switch changes it from open circuit to closed.. also on the panel is is a thermostatic switch , check this with a meter to see if it has gone open circuit.
