I wish to replace a thermostatic valve on the ladder rad in my bathroom?

I want to replace a thermostatic TRv4 valve on the ladder radiator in my upstairs bathroom. I have a pressurised system (fitted in 2003). How do I drain down the upstairs system only.

Thanks Elvis, your advice was spot on. Very little water spillage and the new valve is now fitted.

Towel rails dont usually have thermostats on them but here goes- Firstly release the water pressure from the system(not through the expansion relief valve). turn off all radiators upstairs. There should be little water once the pressure is gone. Grab some towels and a tray.Open all rads upstairs when trv is replaced remember to bleed the towel rail and repressurise system to about 1bar. Good luck
