how do i fix broken latch to petrol cap on ford mondeo?

the plastic nib on the end of petrol latch release cable operated from by drivers seat on my ford mondeo verona w reg has broken off i cant now close petrol latch and do not have lockable petrol cap what do i buy and do to fix this?

take cable off and use a tent peg to keep cap closed it just means you have to open boot and pull back peg to release cap
