Hi Karen
l have a simpson maxidry 1200s and have the same exact problem. l turn the dam thing on and sure enough after a minutes passes it trips my earth leakage curcuit breaker on the main power board. The thing is l have never used the dam thing its been in storage from the day l bought it roughly 10yrs ago.
If not too much trouble and you have a solution to the problem, yr input would most definetly be appreciated
have a great day

When you say "trips the fuse box" i take it you mean it trips an Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker, either for that circuit or the whole fuse box.
Any number of things could cause this, possibly a damaged motor within your dryer that is heating up after a couple of minutes and then the insulation is breaking down. GET PROFESSIONAL HELP. SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOOING. NOT SOMEONE WHO THINKS THEY KNOW.
