my refigerator has power on but is not cooling. it is an electrolux?

the make of the refigerator (fridge/freezer) is electrolux, i have been told that it may be the thermostat!!! is it possible to test this, if so how? & wat does it look like??

The thermostat is the thing with the dial on it, it can be tested very easily but i would suggest you get someone who knows their way around electrics as it could be danerous. Alternativley if you have a fast freeze button, switch this as it should bypass the thermostat, if the fridge burst into life your thermstat is the culprit.
