hi martin, you dont say why you had to change the pump.crank the engine to start it,you should hear it buzzing from the tank, indicating its working. a blocked filter will rarely stop the fuel completely, you would at least get a dribble. if the pump is not making a noise at all try slapping it with the palm of your hand,(sounds silly i know but it works sometimes if the pump sticks) check the fuse and relay. i think they are in the main box under the bonnet,(the fuse may be in the box inside the car i cant remember) see if there is a 12v feed to one side of the fuse if not i think your fault may be with your immobiliser. it work by shutting the fuel system down, and play up on these cars for a passtime. if fitted, see if your central locking system is working, if not im sure the problem is with the immob. hope this is of some help. i dont know how to read replies on this site im at ,paddycanman@hotmail.co.uk best of luck
