How do I replace the workings of a digital watch?

Is it possible to remove the workings of one digital watch and replace them in another? The casing and strap of the watch are fine, but the insides have given up. I cannot work out how to remove the winder so that the old workings can be taken out and replaced. Help!!

It is possible but you must be sure that the movements are compatible before you start. To remove the stem you will find a small hole or raised piece of metal on the body of the movement (depending on the make of movement) near to the stem. With a small instrument you need to gently push into the hole or on the raised piece, at the same time gently pull the stem away from the movement. Good luck
