Interior lights come on on own?

Hi, can anyone tell me why the interior lights on my Jeep Cherokee 1996, TD, keep lighting on their own?
Recently they have started to illuminate even whilst driving, but appear to be dim, I usually have to open and close the doors a few times for them to go off. Also the alarm seems to have gone off more than usual for no apparent reason, which also leaves the interior lights lit. Appreciate any help.

try spraying some wd40 on the pins on the doors which activate the lights . they are normally located near the door sills. hope this helps '.
