timing belt?

my timing belt 1.9d renault kango 2001 snapped whilst driving will it have damaged the engine

My mate had a 2000 1.9 kangoo and the belt snapped and he got away with it.we put on a new belt and away it went. he might have just been lucky. worth a try putting on a new belt 2c

Hi Graham, your engine is classified as an interferance fit and that means in the event of belt failure piston to valve damage is most likley
