the red light on saying empty water tank although tank is empty. Hotpoint CDT00 aquarius tumble dryer

I have just fixed the same problem with my machine.
The problem is either
the float switch sticking in the condenser at the bottom back left of the machine or
the black pipe coming from there is blocked or
the pump has stopped working.
My problem was a sticky float switch.
