Bosch Fridge Freezer not working - rewire pcb?

I have a KGV3120GB/01 that is 10 years old and is not cooling/freezing. It defrosted over the weekend and we managed to get it working last night when we turned it off for 30 mins and restarted it. Have read various forums about rewiring the pcb to short on of the sensors. Have identified the two wires but (I know this sounds stupid) which ends do I connect ie the pcb end or the sensor end????? Thanks for any advice

Cut the wire to the sensor. Tape off (discard) the sensor which is superfluous in GB's climate. Solder the 2 ends from the pcb, ensuring a very good joint. Mine was out of action for 3 months and has now been working perfectly for 4 weeks.
