Spontaneous alarm in day mode. Responded to code with red tamper light and green power showing. No response when panel front removed. Removed power then powered up causing sounder to activate, entered code twice ? to silence sounder causing tamper light to flash continuously. Tamper light remains constant when reset is pressed. Fitted factory link to tamp circuit. Panel tamp (spring) worked and silenced on entering code however locks out after reset. Spring does not activate sounder when tamper wires are reconnected.

Mick, there are two tamper circuits one called tamp (which goes around the detectors) and one called SAB (which goes to the bellbox), it sounds like this is the problem.
either a wire is cut or damaged or the bell box tamper circuit is open/faulty. Has the battery been checked replaced in the last four years?
