i lost the instaltion cd for the lexmark 5470

If you're using Windows Vista, you MUST download new the drivers from http://lexmark.com. Their installation CD that came with your printer does NOT have those drivers, although you won't see any reference to that fact.

Just run the file after it downloads and it will install itself with no problem. Be sure to reboot your system before expecting any positive results. Save the file to a CD and store it in a safe place where you can access it when needed.

go on lexmarks website and go to drivers and downloads and click driver finder and click on ur type of printer (all-in-one) and then click on ur printer name (x5470). choose ur operating system (xp vista etc) then download the file for ur operating system (xp cjb5400EN.exe)
