when i switch the power switch on I am not able to select the wash programme number. the switches do not work. If i enter the test programme (manufacturers) by pressing and holding the delay switch before pressing the on switch all the test functions work and it goes through all the test programme from 18 down to 10 i.e. filling, washing and emptying.
The software seems to freeze and not allow me to select a washing programme when I switch the machine on.

It's the door switch - if the display shows three dashes it thinks the doors shut and locks out the buttons. If the display shows three dashes and a colon it thinks the doors open and will accept button presses. I took off the fron, cleaned and lubricated the switch and it works now.
