My Renault Megane Scenic has an intermittent starter fault. ?

It can go for days with no trouble and then it just will not start. My local mechanic has put his code reader on it but nothing is showing up from the ecu. Can anybody help please.

I had the same problem with my clio so I sold it on and bought a scenic which guess what had the same problem it turned out to be the wiring loom which means nothing to me and it cost about £150 at a renault main dealer apparently its a fault that a lot of renaults develop

We had a similar problem. Our mechanic said it was a split in a "vacuum hose". He replaced it and the problem went away.
