Homelite SX-135 trimmer no start?

Hi, I used this once this summer and went to start it recently and no go. It would sputter a bit but that's
all. It has spark. Took the carb off and cleaned it as good as I could. When I put it back on, the primer bulb now won't suck any gas into it. Just makes a squeeking sound. The fuel lines are clear. Thanks for any input?????? Doug

Update: After fooling with the thing for 3 days, I FINALLY noticed that the muffler was plugged. What I thought to be a small screen was actually some gunk plugging it. Duh!
Now, after screwing around with the carb adjustments all this time, I am trying to get it back where it was. Not there yet but at least it starts.
