replace fly wheel on ldv 2.4 duratec engine?

how easy is it to replace the fly wheel when you change the clutch on a duratec 2.4 td engine

There is a single mass flywheel kit available. I`ve seen them on ebay. I had one fitted to mine by a garage in Oldham. Increases diesel sound slighlty and is not quite as soft driving but you`ll never have the problem with the dual mass flywheel again. The change over is a straight forward job, well within diy capabilities. I needed mine done urgently so I sent it in instead of doing it myself. The other advantage is that you should not have the problem of the starter sticking because with the single mass flywheel you do not get metallic dust attracted to the motor. The dust is from the dualmass flywheel as it wears. If you check on the Daily Telegraph website in the motoring section they say that mondeos etc are having very low mileage problems with the dualmass.

easy enough to do, its held on by torx bolts if they are out of line with holes you will need to turn inner or outer part of flywheel to align them.think there may be a solid flywheel kit available that you can get for transit [same engine] that you may find could be worth looking into.
