cracked tea pot?

I use my tea pot to steep tea with very hot water. It has cracked in several places but I can still use it. Is there some way to seal it? I read somewhere that you can place the pot in boiling water and it will seal the cracks. Is that true?

I have not tried it my self, but I hear if you cover it In milk in a pot, and let it simmer for 45 minutes it will seal up the cracks, but if you don't want to use a lot of milk you can fill it up with milk and leave it in a warm place for a week it works just as well, just be sure to clean it out good after.
