Hi I Kinda Have The Same Problem Only I Found My Register In The Trash And It Didn't Have A Key The Drawer Was Open But I Closed It By Accident And Now I Cant Get It To Open . I Really Just Want The Drawer So I Can Use As A Lock Box, But I Don't Know How To Operate The Register...I Turned It On To Reg.(Register) And It Says Closed....

Thanks Mark, I did that, I still can not get the closed reading off the machine, is there any way to clear all previous clerk sing in codes from the machine and start fresh, also when I put the machine in program and get the machine to move the receipt paper reads "power fail, the book really does not give any information on clearing the machine for any new owner, again thank you.

Hi. Yes, you got it. There is no one signed onto your machine. You simply sign an operator on, then it will work. Your book should tell you how, but the standard way is to press one of the clerk buttons at the top of the key board (A,B,D,E). If this doesn't work, then someone has setup special passcodes, and you are going to have to read the clerk program to see how it has been changed.
Feel free to get back to me if you can't sort it.
